MENTOR TRAINING LEVEL ONE
WHAT IT IS:
Marriage mentoring is a process for training healthy couples in your church to mentor other couples, especially those in crisis. It's a hands-on method of mediation, empowering couples to solve their own issues.
Our method of mentoring is unique in that it is designed to be effective for premarital couples, couples wanting to enrich their marriage and most importantly couples in crisis.
Most marriages need more than 'cognitive' adjustments, in many cases they need a 'spiritual awakening'. Our biblical method of mentoring addresses core heart issues that can get in the way of true healing and restoration.
We train mentors to carefully navigate into the hearts of mentees, not being too agressive or too passive. The Holy Spirit guides them as each person requires a unique approach.
In the end, God gets all the glory as people find truth, turn towards Him and find a healing that only God can provide.
THE THREE PROVEN STEPS:
MEDIATE - Learn how to 'round the bases' and resolve issues in a God-honoring way.
TEACH - Teach biblical truths that can transform a marriage.
CONFRONT - Confront core heart issues in a way that yields repentence and forgiveness.
WHAT IT'S NOT:
It's not another teaching curriculum, nor is it a replacement for clinical or pastoral counseling.
